Irem Reaches the Superfinal of the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026

24.01.2026

In January 2026, Irem stepped onto one of the biggest stages in Luxembourg music as a finalist in the Luxembourg Song Contest, the national selection used to choose Luxembourg’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. Selected from a pool of 83 applicants, Irem earned her place among the eight finalists with her song Bad Decisions (Hush Hush), a multilingual pop track blending English, French, and German influences into a confident and contemporary sound.

The Luxembourg Song Contest took place at the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette and was broadcast nationally by RTL. The competition brought together some of the country’s most promising artists, all competing for the opportunity to represent Luxembourg at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna. After her performance, Irem successfully advanced to the Superfinal, placing her among the top three acts of the entire competition. In the final round of voting, she finished in third place overall with Bad Decisions (Hush Hush), a remarkable achievement for an artist continuing to build her career both in Luxembourg and internationally.

For many viewers, the contest served as an introduction to Irem’s unique artistic identity. Beyond music, she is also pursuing a master’s degree in physics in Vienna, balancing an academic career with her ambitions as a performer and songwriter. Her appearance at the Luxembourg Song Contest showcased not only her musical talent but also her determination to follow an unconventional path. The Luxembourg Song Contest represented an important milestone in Irem’s development as an artist. Performing on a nationally televised stage, reaching the Superfinal, and connecting with new audiences across Luxembourg and beyond helped establish her as one of the country’s most exciting emerging pop artists.

At BEAST, we are proud to have supported Irem throughout this journey. Her participation in the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 marks another significant step forward in a career that continues to grow, evolve, and reach new audiences across Europe.
